Safran inaugurates new industrial capabilities at its Singapore MRO site - ADU - Aviation Defence Universe

Safran Landing Systems has inaugurated an extension of its Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) center in Singapore, backed by a US$22 million investment supported by the Singapore Economic Development Board. The event took place on September 22, 2026, with French Ambassador Stephen Marchisio and other officials attending. The new 7,500-square-meter facility adds a state-of-the-art assembly line for landing gear overhauls, aiming to increase capacity for major aircraft fleets across Asia-Pacific and the Middle East. The site, operating since 1979 and partnering with SIA Engineering Company since 2000, employs 360 people and is expected to create nearly 100 new jobs by 2030. Sustainability features include 2,800 square meters of solar panels.
