Scaling the Electric Sky: How FlyOnE Is Commercializing Advanced Air Mobility Today

FlyOnE Limited, an Australian electric aviation company, says it’s moving beyond flight-test hype by operating certified, revenue-generating services today. In an interview with founder and CEO Korum Ellis, the company argues it has commercialized advanced air mobility by integrating electric aircraft operations with a proprietary charging network and aircraft delivery, rather than waiting for perfect technology or future regulations. Since 2020, FlyOnE has progressively added electric aircraft into real commercial operations in Australia, tackling regulatory approvals, pilot training, charging infrastructure, maintenance and battery management, insurance, operating procedures, and building a paying customer base. The company reports more than 180,000 commercial electric passenger-kilometres and tens of thousands of air taxi passenger movements, and now operates air taxi, flight training and aerial work while developing supply and continued-airworthiness capabilities.
