Shocking video surfaces of Ukrainian 'hunted' by alleged Russia 'drone safari'
Ukraine’s National Police released footage on Tuesday showing what it says is a Russian drone hunting a civilian at an outdoor market in Kherson. The video depicts a 53-year-old man attempting to flee as the unmanned aerial vehicle circles him, before accelerating and detonating. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said the images reflect daily “drone safaris” against civilians in Kherson and framed the attacks as part of Russia’s broader efforts to terrorize and destabilize civilian life. The victim was believed to have survived but suffered serious injuries. The U.N.’s Independent International Commission previously assessed in September 2025 that such strikes may constitute war crimes. Russia’s response accused Ukraine of causing civilian casualties while attacking Russian energy infrastructure, and both sides have targeted each other’s assets including Wildberries warehouses.
