A small plane crash into a Beijing high-rise renewed scrutiny of aviation safety and airspace enforcement after the pilot was killed and 13 others were injured. Chinese authorities said the two-seat light sport aircraft collided with a high-rise near the East Third Ring Road in the Chaoyang district at 5:55 p.m. on Friday, with the pilot confirmed as the only person aboard. The aircraft was reported by Flightradar24 as a Sunward SA 60L Aurora that took off about 50 km east of Beijing and flew west before ending near the East Third Ring Road.
