Southwest Airlines Starts 6 Major New Nonstop Routes To Hawaii: See Flights Now

Southwest Airlines is adding six new nonstop routes to Hawaii between March 2026 and March 2027, with five starting from California, according to Cirium. The sole exception is Las Vegas (Harry Reid, LAS) to Hilo (ITO), launched August 6. Service is scheduled for three to four weekly flights initially, ramping toward four to five times per week in the final two months of the year. Southwest will use the Boeing 737 MAX 8 on the route. The westbound flight WN568 takes 6 hours 5 minutes, departing LAS at 9:30 AM and arriving Hilo at 12:35 PM, while WN3253 returns overnight, landing in Las Vegas at 5:10 AM. The carrier is also expanding Honolulu and Maui demand from multiple California airports.
