Textron Aviation opens new Essendon Fields service centre - Australian Flying
Textron Aviation has opened a new Melbourne Service Centre at Essendon Fields Airport, expanding OEM-backed support for Beechcraft, Cessna and Hawker owners across Australia and the Asia-Pacific. The 3,343 m² facility, located in Hangar 83 on the airport’s Southern Apron, will perform maintenance, repair and overhaul for all three aircraft lines. Customers, industry partners and aviation leaders from more than 18 countries attended the Oct. opening. Textron Aviation General Manager Australia Service Centres, Zaki Abu Ghazaleh, said rising customer demand makes the centre key for faster parts access and support expertise. Essendon Fields’ CEO Brendan Pihan linked the move to the airport’s plan to centralise aviation activity on the main airfield.
