The Rams think they've figured out jet lag. Australia is about to test their theory
xCruzo Brief
The Los Angeles Rams are putting a new spin on jet lag ahead of the NFL’s first Australia game. After an experiment in London last year—arriving one day before their game against the Jacksonville Jaguars and leaving right after the final whistle—the Rams believe shorter trips reduce the body’s need to adapt. They carried that approach to the league’s longest trip: a 16-hour flight to Melbourne, nearly 8,000 miles. On Friday, Sept. 11 at Melbourne Cricket Ground, kickoff is set for 10:35 a.m. local time so the matchup airs in prime time in the U.S. The Rams plan to fly in the day before and depart immediately after, while the San Francisco 49ers leave for Melbourne on Sept. 2, a week earlier.
