The world's favourite airlines for 2026 have been revealed - here's who won

Qantas has been named the world’s top favourite airline for 2026 in the 2026 Flyers’ Choice Awards run by AirlineRatings, with voting by more than 40,000 travellers. In Australia and the Pacific, Qantas finished first, followed by Air New Zealand and Virgin Australia. For “greatest peace of mind”, Qantas ranked second behind Singapore Airlines, with Etihad Airways third. The awards used a wider focus than some categories, naming the top seven rather than only the top three. Other places included Emirates at number four, then Air New Zealand, airBaltic and Cathay Pacific. In low-cost rankings, VietJet Air won, with AirAsia second, and Jetstar and easyJet tied for third. Elsewhere, British Airways led in the UK and Europe, Delta in the USA and Canada, LATAM in South and Central America, and Qatar Airways topped business class preference.
