This Airline's Business Class Has A Wider Bed Than Award-Winning Qatar Airways' Qsuite

All Nippon Airways (ANA) says its reworked Boeing 777-300ER business class “The Room” is designed to feel less boxed in than Qatar Airways’ widely praised Qsuite. ANA developed the suite with architect Kengo Kuma and guidance from frequent customers, building a 1-2-1 configuration with alternating forward- and aft-facing seats. Jamco Corporation manufactured the cabin interior. The structural staggered layout enables engineers to expand the seat cushion width to 38 inches (96.5 cm), versus 21.5 inches (54.6 cm) for Qsuite, according to the article. The cabin’s look uses three wood-grain finishes inspired by traditional Japanese homes, aimed at reducing glare under ambient lighting.
