Travis Kelce Named as Victim in $25 Million Ponzi Scheme That Sent Investment Adviser to Prison for 11 Years

Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce was publicly identified as a victim in a $25 million investment fraud scheme that landed the adviser’s operator in federal prison for 11 years. Prosecutors said Siddharth Jawahar, 38, ran Texas-based Swiftarc Capital LLC and related entities. Kelce was named by prosecutors during Jawahar’s Sept. 15 sentencing in St. Louis, though the documents did not specify how much the NFL player invested or lost. Authorities said Jawahar received more than $35 million from investors between July 2016 and December 2023 but invested about $10 million, using new client money to pay earlier investors and spending other funds on private jets, luxury hotels, high-end apartments, private clubs, restaurants and shopping. Jawahar pleaded guilty to wire fraud counts and was ordered to repay $31.35 million.
