A single-engine plane crash in Wisconsin killed six people, including a child, and the pilot reported icing on the wings before the accident. Authorities say the crash happened Tuesday night near Mirror Lake State Park while the aircraft was traveling from Kenosha to Menomonie during a thunderstorm. The National Transportation Safety Board says the pilot requested permission to descend at 24,000 feet after noticing icing. Air traffic control approved the descent, but communication was lost during it. No structures on the ground were damaged and nobody on the ground was injured, according to the report. The NTSB will lead the investigation.
