Tribes of new Sana'a district declare mobilization, readiness to end aggression, blockade
Residents of New Sana’a district, described as the provincial capital, staged a large armed tribal gathering on Saturday to declare mobilization and readiness to end the “aggression” and blockade. The tribes said the broad mobilization is a step toward ending the suffering attributed to the blockade, and framed their position as preparing to confront “enemies” to achieve liberation and victory. Dhaifallah Rassam, deputy speaker of Yemen’s Shura Council, said the turnout reflects tribal awareness about confronting threats to the nation and homeland. In a statement read at the rally, officials including provincial security director Brigadier General Mujahid Ayedh and deputy governors cited full readiness to confront developments. The statement also called for unity against the siege, supported a revolutionary anniversary position referencing the Prophet’s migration, and urged enrollment in advanced Al-Aqsa Flood training while continuing mobilization.
