Trump says Bombardier can't sell in U.S. unless Canada aerospace giant builds there

President Donald Trump said Monday that Bombardier, the Canadian aircraft maker, can’t continue selling in the U.S. unless it starts building its products there. The statement targets the company amid a worsening U.S.-Canada trade conflict, coming the day before retaliatory tariffs take effect Tuesday on a range of U.S. goods. Trump posted on Truth Social: “NO MORE SELLING BOMBARDIER IN THE UNITED STATES!” and argued that if Bombardier wants access to the U.S. market, it should build in America. Bombardier did not immediately respond to a request for comment. The move follows Ottawa’s announcement of roughly $20 billion in retaliatory tariffs on more than 700 U.S. goods announced Aug. 25.
