Speaking at Joint Base Andrews on Sunday after returning from the FIFA World Cup final in New Jersey, Trump said the process would take about a month. The $400 million jet has faced scrutiny over its missile-defense capabilities and other security features, with concerns resurfacing after Trump briefly changed aircraft during a return from a NATO summit in Turkey. CNN reports that some U.S. security personnel felt more comfortable with an older Air Force One built from scratch for the commander-in-chief. Separately, a major White House investigation was launched to identify who leaked information about perceived security deficiencies.
