Trump Unveils New 'Air Force One' Bridge Aircraft
Trump unveiled an interim Air Force One as a replacement for the ageing fleet at Joint Base Andrews. The modified Boeing 747, designated VC-25B Bridge, will operate as a temporary presidential jet while the next-generation program is completed. Officials said the conversion took around ten months and that the current VC-25A fleet has reached the end of its lifecycle. The aircraft features enhanced secure communications and is configured as an airborne command center. Inside, the cabin includes conference spaces, upgraded seating and facilities for presidential duties. Officials said Qatar's role in making the aircraft available helped address delays in the primary program, and the jet is expected to play a prominent role in upcoming national events.
