Trump unveils Qatari luxury jet for Air Force One fleet

Trump unveiled a Boeing 747-8 donated by Qatar last year, after modifications were completed, a luxury jet valued at about $400 million. The president described it as a flying White House and the interior upgrades include security, mission communications, logistics and advanced technology. Initial commissioning flights are planned to test the modifications before it carries the president. The exterior features a red, white, blue and gold paint scheme. Prior to this addition, the fleet included two VC-25 jets in use since 1990; one older plane appears to have been phased out, and the new jet will be used temporarily until Boeing delivers two long-promised VC-25B jets, delayed.
