Two Teenage Founders Raise $1M to Change the Travel Industry

Two teenage founders from Miami, Henry Langmack and Alex Slater, have raised a $1 million pre-seed round for their travel platform Soar, aimed at simplifying how people search and book flights. The company says Soar removes traditional airline friction by presenting seats, bags and fares in one interface, while adding post-booking tools such as auto-check-in, price drop refunds and an iMessage-based agent called Sky. Soar also emphasizes transparency and speed, including unbundled baseline fares with seat and baggage policies shown together. The startup claims tickets are issued inside the platform and that its system can automatically check passengers in when the airline window opens and send boarding passes to phones. The company says it can draft and submit passenger rights claims for compensable delays or cancellations. Soar’s Atlas algorithm highlights “skiplagged” hidden-city options and alleges these pricing errors can cut fares by more than 50%.
