UAC delivers Su-30SM2, Su-34 fighter jets to Russian Defense Ministry -- Rostec
UAC, part of Rostec, delivered batches of Su-30SM2 multirole fighters and Su-34 fighter-bombers to Russia’s Ministry of Defense under the state defense procurement program. Rostec said the aircraft completed required ground and flight factory tests and have departed for their duty stations, with deliveries tied to targets set by Russia’s defense minister. A Su-30SM2 pilot said crews accepted the jets as part of those delivery goals, describing the aircraft as highly maneuverable and among the most advanced in the Russian Armed Forces. UAC CEO Vadim Badekha said the platforms are continuously upgraded using experience from the “special military operation.” UAC highlighted the Su-30SM2’s upgraded radar for reaching further and engaging air, ground, and sea targets, and said the Su-34 can attack distant ground and air targets and support aerial reconnaissance missions.
