xCruzo Brief
Uganda Airlines has launched flights between Entebbe and Accra, Ghana, aiming to strengthen trade, tourism and investment links between East and West Africa. The route becomes the carrier’s 18th destination and will operate four times a week with a stopover in Lagos, Nigeria. Uganda’s works and transport minister Fred Byamukama said the journey time will drop to about five hours from a previous range of seven to 10 hours when connecting through other airports. Officials described the service as an “economic bridge” aligned with the AfCFTA and the Single African Air Transport Market. Uganda Airlines CEO Girma Wake added it will support passenger travel and cargo, including access for visitors to Ghana and Uganda’s attractions.
