United Airlines' New App Tool Lets Delayed Flyers Stand By For 3 Earlier Flights

United Airlines has added a new mobile-app tool that lets delayed flyers “stand by” for as many as three earlier flights, giving them more control over rebooking during disruptions. The feature is aimed at the Labor Day travel surge, with United forecasting 3.4 million passengers.
