Uzbek Logistics Firm Centrum Bets on Silk Road Trade Before IPO
Uzbekistan’s Centrum Holding, described as the country’s largest private logistics group, is preparing for an IPO in London as soon as next year while expanding trade-route operations linking Europe and Asia. Founder and CEO Abdulaziz Abdurakhmanov said the company aims to be “IPO-ready within the next year or two,” using the listing to bring investors to help scale the business. Centrum began in 2019 as an air cargo carrier and plans to grow ground logistics as transit shipments through Uzbekistan rise. The company is expanding under Uzbekistan’s economic reforms under President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, including liberalized currency rules and capital controls lifted since 2020. Centrum reported $1 billion in revenue in 2025 and employs 5,000 people, controlling over 40% of Uzbekistan’s air cargo market and up to 30% of passenger aviation, with a target of 50%. It also operates cargo and passenger airlines, logistics centers, ports and railcars, and plans multimodal terminals along the Middle Corridor linking China and Europe. The article stops short of specifying a finalized IPO date and notes that investment is expected to exceed $100 million in “2” (cut off).
