Virgin Atlantic Cancels 5 Major Long-Haul Routes From Heathrow: See Full List Now

Cirium data indicates Virgin Atlantic has removed five long-haul destinations since 2025, with cuts concentrated in the Middle East and the Caribbean. The airline’s Middle Eastern reductions were linked to the Iran War and follow reporting that it would cut service to Dubai (DXB) and Riyadh (RUH). Virgin said in March it was trimming both routes, though historical scheduling shows flights were paused in mid-March before being fully ended. Dubai had been served daily from Heathrow with the Airbus A350-1000, while Riyadh used the Airbus A330-900 and was notably launched only about a year earlier. The remaining three destinations were in the Caribbean, starting with Providenciales (PLS) in Turks and Caicos, with the final departure leaving Heathrow on Feb. 21, 2025.
