Warren Buffett-owned jet crashes into flames on Texas highway

An incident involving a NetJets aircraft, owned by Berkshire Hathaway of Warren Buffett, crashed and erupted into flames on Loop 20 in Laredo, Texas, killing one person and sending bystanders into frantic rescue efforts. The Cessna Citation Latitude twin-jet had departed Los Cabos International Airport in Mexico at 6:19 p.m. local time and went down on the highway shortly after 10 p.m., with the aircraft embedded in a highway barrier and its tail severed from the fuselage. The jet crashed about 140 miles southwest of San Antonio, near Laredo, and it remained unclear whether the fatality was aboard the aircraft or on the ground. Eyewitness accounts described bystander attempts to break cockpit windows and pull an unconscious person from the wreckage as rescue services arrived. The aircraft was identified by FlightAware as a Cessna Citation Latitude, and authorities have not disclosed whether passengers or crew survived beyond the confirmed fatality.
