WestJet signs codeshare partnership deal with Qatar Airways

WestJet says it has signed a codeshare partnership with Qatar Airways to make travel to Doha easier. Under the agreement, WestJet will place its airline code on Qatar’s nonstop flights to Doha from Toronto and Montreal. For passengers using codeshare itineraries, the airlines will provide coordinated connections, the ability to earn WestJet loyalty rewards across the full trip, and through-checked baggage. Qatar Airways, in return, will put its code on selected WestJet-operated flights from Toronto and Montreal. The partnership also enables Qatar passengers to connect to 11 Canadian destinations, including Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, St. John’s and Winnipeg. WestJet plans to expand beyond Doha later.
