Wizz Air hits monthly milestone of 1,200 flights in June

Wizz Air reached a monthly milestone of 1,200 daily flights for the first time in June, while maintaining strong completion and on-time performance, according to the airline. The budget carrier also reported a rise in passengers of more than 27% compared with the same month last year. Wizz Air carried 7.48 million passengers in June as capacity increased 27.5% to 8.14 million seats; its load factor fell 0.2 percentage points to 91.9%. The airline’s rolling annual total reached 6.2 million passengers, up 6.3% year on year. Wizz Air also confirmed that it will introduce Starlink in-flight internet technology from January 2027. Ryanair, its low-fares rival, posted a 7% passenger rise to a record 21.2 million and a 95% load factor.
