A 23-year-old pilot, Faith Tenkley, ditched her family’s Piper twin-piston aircraft in the Atlantic Ocean off Boca Raton, Florida, on Saturday morning and was taken to hospital as a precaution, according to reports. Tenkley was flying the plane to South Bimini Airport in the Bahamas to pick up her parents when mechanical problems forced a diversion. Flightradar24 data shows she left Page Field (FMY) at 8:55 a.m. local time on August 22, 2026, flying roughly 15 miles west of Boca Raton. Witnesses described a slow descent and delicate water landing.
