Zelenskiy urges Belarus to remove equipment aiding Russian drone attacks
Ukraine’s drone-war pressure centers on President Volodymyr Zelenskiy urging Belarus to remove equipment he says supports Russian attacks. In a Saturday night video address cited by Reuters, Zelenskiy said Ukraine identified four relay stations in Belarus that help facilitate Russian military drone operations. He urged Belarusian authorities to dismantle the infrastructure, warning that Kyiv is monitoring the sites it believes support Moscow’s war effort. Zelenskiy added that Ukraine is aware of Belarusian factories he said are working for Russia. The remarks followed two consecutive days of public pressure: on Friday, Zelenskiy said Belarus had about a week to remove relay equipment and warned of potential Ukrainian action if it was not addressed. Belarus has backed Russia since the February 2022 invasion, and Zelenskiy also cited alleged increases in Belarusian fuel shipments to Russia.
