Anders Lee and Vincent Trocheck bring simple, direct hockey to the Utah Mammoth
xCruzo Brief
Utah Mammoth is shaping its attack around a simpler identity—direct, physical hockey—after adding veterans Anders Lee and Vincent Trocheck during the offseason. In early games, the team’s young core still drives speed and skill, led by Logan Cooley, Dylan Guenther and captain Clayton Keller, but Lee (a 6-foot-3, 234-pound winger) and Trocheck (a center) were brought to add grit around the crease. Trocheck has started on right wing with Keller and Nick Schmaltz, while Lee plays left alongside Cooley and Guenther. Through four games, the trios combined for six even-strength goals, and Utah has the NHL’s best power play at a 61.5% success rate. Chemistry is still developing.
