Boater's photo may be 'the last picture' of 5 people who drowned in an Ohio river
Boater’s photo may be ‘the last picture’ of five people who drowned in an Ohio river, with a local pastor saying his image could capture the group just before they died in the Scioto River. Marcus L. Martin, a frequent boater near Delaware County, told The Associated Press he saw five adults wading in water that he described as having steep slopes and a sharp drop-off. He took a photo after returning to the spot about two hours later, after initially only observing them and two children nearby. Authorities believe one adult began struggling and the others tried to help; all five were swept under. Two women’s bodies were recovered Sunday and the three men’s bodies the next day. Honduran officials confirmed four adults were Honduran: Jose Mario Pineda Dias (33) and Marina Suyapa Regalado (28), with other names pending family notification.
