Breaking: Bayern Munich's Manuel Neuer officially ruled out for SC Freiburg tilt

Bayern Munich will be without captain Manuel Neuer for Sunday’s Bundesliga match at SC Freiburg after the club confirmed he is ruled out with persistent tendonitis in his foot. The game begins at 12:30 PM EDT (17:30 CEST). Neuer’s absence adds to Bayern’s already complicated week, which followed Vincent Kompany’s health scare. With Neuer out, Jonas Urbig is expected to take over in goal, giving the young goalkeeper another chance to prove his readiness as a long-term successor. Bayern will also be missing Joshua Kimmich for family reasons and Kim Min-jae, while Kompany is recovering, leaving the squad’s availability uncertain ahead of a difficult away fixture.
