Check that label! Imported beef recalled with 'highest risk'

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has issued an urgent recall for nearly 30,000 pounds of imported raw beef from Argentina, sold in Florida and Texas. The USDA classified the product as a Class I health hazard, its highest risk category, after missed import re-inspections. The recall notice did not identify where the beef was sold, but it was marketed by Corte Argentino and packed under the brand FrigorIfico Gorina SAIC. Affected boneless cuts include Top Sirloin Butt, Eye Round, Topside Cap Off, Flat, and Knuckle, with freeze-by or use-by dates between Sept. 15 and Sept. 20. The USDA did not specify a contaminant. The recall follows a Trump plan announced earlier to import up to 300,000 pounds of foreign beef in 90 days, priced 25% below market.
