Court denies NCAA motion, rules Missouri DT Sterling Webb eligible
xCruzo Brief
Missouri defensive tackle Sterling Webb will remain eligible to play after a St. Louis County judge denied the NCAA’s motion to dismiss a temporary restraining order on Wednesday. Webb started eight games for the Tigers last season and three in 2024 after transferring from New Mexico State, where he played two seasons. The court allowed an additional year of college eligibility after Webb sued the NCAA over a five-year-in-five-years rule announced for college athletes. Webb, a 2022 high school graduate, had been left out of the transition group. Missouri opens Thursday vs. Arkansas–Pine Bluff, and coach Eli Drinkwitz said he is still figuring out availability.
