Sportico’s annual valuation of NFL teams, released Wednesday, Aug. 12, shows the Detroit Lions gaining more than $2 billion in value since 2025, even as their ranking slipped. The Lions’ valuation rose from $5.88 billion in 2025 to $8.02 billion in 2026, a 36% jump, but they fell from 25th to 27th overall. Detroit ranks a little more than half the league-leading Dallas Cowboys at $15.5 billion, up 21% from 2025. The Seahawks saw the biggest percentage rise to $9.61 billion, up 46%, while the Jets and Falcons jumped three spots into the top 10. The Bengals, Detroit’s first preseason opponent, remained last overall for a seventh straight season yet increased 35% to $7.4 billion.
