Dolphins sign Bills LB who had nine tackles, sack in preseason

The Miami Dolphins added Andre Jones Jr. to their 53-man roster after the Buffalo Bills waived him from the final cuts. Jones, an outside linebacker listed at 6-foot-5 and 258 pounds, had nine tackles and a sack during Buffalo’s preseason. After being released, he rejoined the Bills’ practice squad before Miami signed him off it. Jones spent last season with Buffalo, appearing in three regular-season games with five tackles and making one stop in the Bills’ Wild Card win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. The 27-year-old has also played 44 special-teams snaps in three games with Buffalo and 250 over two seasons with Washington. Buffalo filled its practice-squad opening by signing defensive tackle Austin Johnson. The Dolphins are 0-2 and host the Kansas City Chiefs at 1 p.m. Sunday.
