Donald Trump saluted England captain Harry Kane after the Bayern Munich striker helped send Thomas Tuchel’s side through to the World Cup quarter-finals with a 3-2 win over Mexico at Estadio Azteca. Kane scored his tournament-leading sixth goal by converting a second-half penalty in the 60th minute. The match swung after Jude Bellingham netted twice in 98 seconds before half-time, while Julian Quinones and Raul Jimenez (from the spot) reduced it to 3-2. England reached the quarter-final against Norway despite Jarell Quansah being sent off after 54 minutes.
