EFG Holding reports Q2 net profit decline of 3% to EGP776m By Investing.com
EFG Holding S.A.E. reported lower profits for Q2 2026, with net profit after tax and minority interest falling 3% year-over-year to EGP 776 million, according to a press release. Operating revenues rose 7% to EGP 6.5 billion, while group net operating profit declined 1% to EGP 2.0 billion. Total assets ended June 2026 at EGP 260.7 billion. The company said revenue growth was driven by BANK NXT’s expanding loan book and higher securitization gains at Valu. EFG Hermes revenues dropped 13% to EGP 2.4 billion due to investment and seed capital losses and weaker investment banking revenue. Group operating expenses increased 11% to EGP 4.5 billion, mainly from higher employee costs. EFG Hermes recorded a net loss of EGP 163 million versus profit of EGP 268 million a year earlier, attributed to currency market volatility in Holding & Treasury activities. Excluding those activities, EFG Hermes profit was EGP 694 million, up 50%. EFG Finance net profit rose 132% to EGP 535 million; BANK NXT revenues climbed 30% to EGP 2.1 billion and net profit rose 33% to EGP 788 million.
