Michael Vaughan criticized the 43% increase in ticket prices for next year’s men’s Ashes Test at Edgbaston, calling it “really poor.” The third match of the best-of-five series between England and Australia will be held at Birmingham next summer. In the Hollies Stand, which seats nearly 6,000 spectators, tickets cost £165, up from £115 in 2023. Elsewhere in the ground, tickets are £92 for members, while the cheapest adult tickets across the first three days start at £115 and include a £2.50 booking fee. After England and Wales Cricket Board attendance topped 545,000 in 2023 when every day sold out, next week’s third Test with Pakistan is not sold out. The 2027 Ashes ticket ballot opened on Wednesday.
