Final weeks before Bass Pro Shops with boating center closes its doors for good

Bass Pro Shops is closing its Memphis, Tennessee location on Macon Road, a rare retreat for the outdoor retailer. The store will shut down next month, with its final day of business set for September 26, according to a store employee, and the property has been placed up for lease. The 100,000-square-foot site includes an in-store boating center. Bass Pro Shops plans to consolidate operations downtown at its larger Bass Pro Shops Pyramid flagship, a 535,000-square-foot complex with a Big Cypress Lodge hotel, aquariums, waterfalls, and other attractions, including restaurants and an archery range.
