Four rescued from fire aboard Nova Scotia fishing boat in the Bay of Fundy

Four people were rescued from a fishing boat fire in the Bay of Fundy, identified by the Transportation Safety Board of Canada as the Ocean Otter. The Joint Rescue Co-ordination Centre in Halifax confirmed the four aboard were rescued by another fishing vessel and were unharmed. Photos circulating on social media showed dense smoke pouring from the vessel. A Kingfisher search-and-rescue aircraft was deployed but stood down after the fishermen were reported safe. The Canadian Coast Guard provided ongoing updates, with no injuries reported and investigations to determine the cause of the blaze pending.
