Great white shark makes terrifyingly close pass by fisherman in kayak in shocking video

A helmet-cam video captured a tense moment when a great white shark swam extremely close to kayaker David Slavich while he was fishing alone. Slavich was casting lines when the predator glided past beneath the surface, prompting him to react in surprise and reel in his line quickly to avoid the shark taking the bait. In the footage, the shark’s size becomes clear as it comes into frame alongside the kayak. Slavich later described feeling awe and fascination rather than fear, saying the experience was one he would never forget. After the shark passes safely, he says they’re “getting the f--- out of here.”
