Houston Stadium no more: crews remove FIFA World Cup signage and restore the Reliant branding at the Texans’ home. The stadium is set to regain the official “Reliant Park” name with a ribbon-cutting scheduled for July 29. The venue opened in 2002 as Reliant, later becoming NRG Stadium in 2014. The Houston Texans will host their first regular-season game at Reliant Stadium on Sept. 13 against the Buffalo Bills. The move marks a return to a familiar identity after the World Cup period brought temporary FIFA branding.
