Jill Scott 'overwhelmed' after completing epic 388-mile Sport Relief challenge
Jill Scott’s five-day, 388-mile Sport Relief challenge underscored how a single endurance feat can galvanize a nation while delivering real charitable impact. The former Lioness, 39, cycled from Wembley Stadium in London to Sunderland’s Stadium Of Light, completing a final 28-mile marathon on Friday after a demanding sequence that began with a 112-mile ride to Villa Park. Across the trip she logged 112 miles, 99 miles, 111 miles, and a concluding 28 miles, culminating in a finish that drew thousands of supporters. The drive raised £470,677 for Sport Relief, reflecting both Scott’s grit and the public’s generosity. Scott admitted she was exhausted—her legs numb, blisters bursting, ribs aching—but praised the community that carried her through each mile.
