Lisle company recalls 12,000 pounds of bacon. Which products?
xCruzo Brief
Maple Leaf Foods recalled about 12,036 pounds of not-ready-to-eat (NRTE) smoked bacon products after a Lisle-based packaging company discovered a lack of import reinspection. The USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service classified it as a Class I recall, the highest level, saying the products violate federal import law. The bacon was produced on June 9, June 10, June 12, June 13 and June 15, and the affected items are marked with the Canadian establishment number “EST. 1” and health certificate “2026-S732971612” on master case boxes. Products were sold in Illinois and distributed to Grocery Outlet in Idaho, Oregon and Washington.
