Masked demonstrators blocked traffic at the Port of Dover in southeast England on Saturday, Sept. 5, according to police and port officials. Videos circulated online showed dozens of people dressed in black and wearing balaclavas gathering at the port. The Port of Dover said the disruption was affecting “all routes” in and out of the port and around the town of Dover, and that it was working with Kent Police. Shipping and ferry operators reported operational impacts: DFDS said it would accommodate travelers on the next departure, while P&O Ferries said sailings were still scheduled and missed departures would be rerouted to the next crossing.
