Meet the Fleet: Six Teams Set to Battle for the BVI Championship

The Helly Hansen Sailing World Regatta Series BVI Championship runs from October 31 to November 7, bringing seven days of racing, five race legs, four “flotilla” cats and two buoy races to Road Town, Tortola. Six teams are set to compete, with the countdown ending as competitors arrive at the Sunsail and Moorings base. Defending champions Never Alone, a Cal 25 team from Detroit’s Crescent Sail YC, earned their berth after winning last November and will race with a smaller crew size for the Sunsail 42. Other entries include Sonar Fawkes, commanded in the BVI by Paul Perry, and Fahrvergnugen, based on the Chesapeake.
