More than 110,000 swing seats have been recalled by Pacearth after reports that the connecting hardware or yellow plastic-coated chain links/webbing straps can break during use, creating a fall hazard. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) said the recall, announced Oct. 8, affects about 110,550 Pacearth U-type swing seats with a U-shaped seat sold in multiple colors: green, blue, pink, red and turquoise. The CPSC cited at least 30 reports of falls involving the product, including fractures, head injuries and bruising—resulting in at least nine reported injuries. Sold on Amazon.com from May 2017 through June 2026 for $27 to $57, consumers are told to stop using the swings immediately and request a full refund.
