More than £6,000 raised for families affected by fishing boat tragedy - AOL
xCruzo Brief
A GoFundMe appeal set up by the Western Isles Fishermen’s Association has raised more than £6,000 toward an £8,000 target to help families affected by the Kilda tragedy. The fishing boat was reported missing on Tuesday, October 13 near Port of Ness, on the north coast of Scotland’s Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides. Douglas Craigie, 49, was found in the sea at about 2.45am on Wednesday, but crewmates Norman Murray, 40, and Murdo Morrison, 23, and the vessel remain missing. Major searches paused on Sunday because of sea conditions and anchoring challenges; authorities haven’t said when they’ll resume.
