Multiple Players Could Face Discipline After Broncos Defeat Vikings

The Denver Broncos’ 34-6 preseason finale loss to the Minnesota Vikings could still bring discipline for players after the NFL’s review process. Officials called 10 penalties, and Denver received three, but none of their flags were for infractions that automatically lead to fines. One key caution involves rookie tight end Dallen Bentley, who drew an “illegal use of the hands, hands to the face” call against Vikings linebacker Josh Ross; Ross was also penalized earlier for “unnecessary roughness” on a late hit. Vikings RB Jermar Jefferson also got a fineable penalty for a face mask, but it was offset by a non-fineable illegal-blocking call. Penalties range from $11,941 to $23,882 depending on the offense.
