Nearly 100K toddler step stools recalled after reports of children injured

Nearly 100,000 toddler kitchen step stools are being recalled by federal regulators after reports of children being injured. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said the recall involves Woodure-branded tower kitchen step stools that can collapse or tip over during use. The CPSC also warns that a child’s torso can fit through openings on the front and back sides, creating risks of serious injury and even death from tip-overs, falls and entrapment hazards. About 91,000 units were recalled after 22 reports of instability or tip-overs, including 15 injuries involving scrapes, cuts and bruises. Affected model numbers include WD1764, WD1357 and WD1720, sold on Amazon from July 2024 through June 2026 for $60 to $100.
