Nicolas Cage Reveals His Biggest Regret When It Comes to His Friendship with the Late Sean Connery

Nicolas Cage said his biggest regret about his friendship with the late Sean Connery was missing a chance to play golf with the “Diamonds Are Forever” star. Speaking at a spotlight panel during New York Comic Con on Saturday, Oct. 10, Cage, 62, described a moment when Connery invited him to the golf course, while Cage preferred spending his free time fishing on his boat. Cage said they had a “great relationship,” visiting Connery at his home, and he later wished he had taken up the offer. Cage and Connery became friends after working together on Michael Bay’s 1996 action thriller The Rock. Cage also called Goldfinger his favorite Bond film featuring Connery. Connery died in 2020 at age 90.
